Arizona was admitted into the Union on February 14th of 1912. The reverse side of the Arizona Silver State Quarter features an image of the Grand Canyon with a Saguaro cactus in the foreground. A banner separates the two images to signify that the Saguaro cactus does not grow in the Grand Canyon. The reverse side of the Arizona Silver State Quarter was designed by Joseph Menna. All Silver State Quarters are comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% silver) with a weight of 6.25 grams and a diameter of 24.3mm.
