Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, these 2 coins were issued as $1 legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.

The Perth Mint released only 6,500 of each of these 2 1oz Proof Coins.

 DESIGN

The Captain Picard coin's reverse portrays a color image of Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard as he appeared in the Star Trek The Next Generation television series, against a representation of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The design also includes the Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.

The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D coin's reverse portrays a color image of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D flying through space as it appeared in the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The design includes the inscription STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-D, The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark, and the coin's weight and fineness
