• History: Daffy Duck is one of Warner Bros. many animated characters. He first appeared in 1937 in a short cartoon named Porky's Duck Hunt. Daffy is the best friend of Warner Bros. most popular character, Bugs Bunny. Trailing slightly behind Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig, Daffy has the third most appearances of all the Warner Bros. characters. Prior to the 1930's people were more accustomed to characters like Mickey Mouse who they could often relate to in one way or another. Daffy was part of a new breed of animated characters who were known for being more wacky, quirky and sometimes completely delusional.
