History: Issued in conjunction with the Apollo 15 moon exploration mission July 26 - August 7, 1971, this sheet of stamps applauds the U.S. in space through an entire decade of achievement. This Apollo mission was the fourth manned mission in the U.S. space program to land on the Moon. At the time, NASA called it the most successful manned flight ever achieved. One stamp depicts the Lunar Roving Vehicle (or EVA) carrying two astronauts. Another shows the Apollo 15 spacecraft itself.
