We are pleased to offer for sale this 1864 Indian Head Cent L on Ribbon coin graded and encapsulated as XF-45 by PCGS.  This Indian Head Penny is a Variety 3 Bronze (1964-1909) and a With L on Ribbon variety.  There were 39,223,714 of these 1864 Indian Head Cents minted at the Philadelphia Mint however, it is unknown how many are this rare With L on Ribbon variety.

The Indian Head Cent series ran from 1859 through 1909. Variety 3 Bronze Indian Head Cents are composed of .950 copper and .050 tin and zinc, with a mass of 3.11 grams, and a diameter of 19mm with a plain edge.
