We are pleased to offer for sale this Fort Vancouver Centennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1925) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Fort Vancouver Centennial Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fort Vancouver in Washington.  There were only 14,994 of this Fort Vancouver Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1925, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  This Fort Vancouver Centennial Half Dollar was designed by Laura Gardin Fraser.  The obverse of the Fort Vancouver Centennial Half Dollar features a portrait of John McLoughlin who built Fort Vancouver on the Columbia River in 1825.  The reverse of the Fort Vancouver Centennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar features a pioneer settler in a buckskin suit with a musket in his hands.  Fort Vancouver is featured in the background.  This Fort Vancouver Centennial Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
