The reverse side of the South Dakota State Quarter features an image of the State bird, the Chinese ring-necked pheasant in flight above the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, a sculpture of four American Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The reverse side of the South Dakota State Quarter was designed by Michael Leidel. All State Quarters are comprised of .750 copper and .250 nickel with a weight of 5.67 grams and a diameter of 24.3mm.
