Georgia was admitted into the Union on January 2nd of 1788. The reverse side of the Georgia State Quarter features the peach, a silhouetted outline of the state, live oak sprigs, and state of Georgia's motto, "Wisdom, Justice, Moderation." The reverse side of the Georgia State Quarter was designed by T. James Ferrell. This 1999-P Georgia State Quarter BU is from the Philadelphia (P) Mint. All State Quarters are comprised of .750 copper and .250 nickel with a weight of 5.67 grams and a diameter of 24.3mm.
