We are pleased to offer for sale this 2004-D "Extra Leaf High" Wisconsin State Quarter graded and encapsulated as MS-65by NGC. There were 226,800,000 of the 2004-D Wisconsin State Quarters minted at the Denver (D) Mint, however it is unknown how many there are of this rare "Extra Leaf High" mint error. The error is evident on the reverse of the coin on the lower left of the corn cob. In this instance the "extra leaf" extends upward.
The State Quarter series ran from 1999 through 2008. In 2009 the US Mint added DC and US Territories to the series as well. Washington State Quarters weigh 5.67 grams and are comprised of outer layers of copper-nickel (.750 copper, .250 nickel) bounded to an inner core of pure copper.
